What is the Wegovy® pill?
Wegovy® (semaglutide) is the first FDA-approved oral GLP-1 pill for weight loss. Made by Novo Nordisk, it contains the same active ingredient as injectable Wegovy® in a convenient once-daily tablet. In clinical trials, people lost an average of ~14% of their body weight.
How do I take the Wegovy® pill?
Take one pill by mouth once daily, first thing in the morning on an empty stomach with no more than 4 oz of water. Wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking anything else, or taking other oral medications. Your clinician will start you on a low dose and increase it gradually over several months.
Will I talk to a real clinician?
Yes. A board-certified clinician reviews your health information and determines whether the Wegovy® pill is appropriate for you. You'll continue to connect each month for your refill, and they are available anytime in between to support you.
