What medications do clinicians at Found prescribe?
Found currently uses 10+ different medications to work with your biology to help you lose weight. You can learn more about each of them here. Found's program includes FDA-approved anti-obesity medications and other medicines prescribed "off-label." Clinical evidence shows these medications are effective in helping people lose weight. Prescribing a medication to treat a condition other than the one it was approved for is called "off-label prescribing," which is legal, safe, and common: 1 out of 5 prescriptions written in the U.S. are off-label. Your clinician will review your medical history, weight history, and lifestyle to personalize a treatment plan to work with your unique biology. Prescriptions are up to a medical provider’s discretion. Found does not dictate prescribing practices or interfere with the medical judgment of our affiliated medical providers.
Do medications for weight loss have side effects?
Like with any medication, side effects can occur. For many medications, the more common side effects often subside in a few weeks. It’s important to tell your health care provider if you experience any issues when taking a new medication and ask for their medical advice. How much weight can I expect to lose with Found?
As a member of Found, you have the potential to achieve great things. After one year, you can expect to see an average 10% weight loss. And it's worth remembering that even a 5% weight loss can make a meaningful difference to your health, improving high blood pressure, cholesterol, heart and blood vessel diseases, arthritis pain, and other conditions.
How does Found personalize my care?
Found's Care Team includes Found-affiliated medical providers, certified health coaches, dietitians, and weight loss experts. Combined with Found's MetabolicPrint™, a proprietary prescription engine, we provide a personalized weight loss program designed to work with your unique biology. Your coach and clinician will recommend a behavior and medication plan that aligns with your medical and weight history, current lifestyle, and MetabolicPrint.
If you're eligible, your provider will prescribe medication. We'll recommend Habits in the Found app, where you can set goals that help you create a lifestyle that supports your weight care journey. Once you commit to changing your lifestyle, the app will help you track your progress every step of the way, guiding you toward your goals and inspiring you to be your best self!
Who are the providers on the Found platform?
All of our medical providers are US-licensed and have decades of combined clinical experience and weight loss expertise. Alongside our robust medical team, Found collaborates with a team of renowned health leaders to craft effective and personalized weight care paths that work in sync with your unique biology and lifestyle. Once you've created an account and had an initial consult, you can view your current provider or send them a message using the app or the portal.
How do I sign up?
To get started, please complete the Found survey with questions about your weight care goals, lifestyle, and medical history. When completed, you will be offered the membership path best fit for your needs and medical history. The survey can be found here: https://survey.joinfound.com/pre-purchase-survey/welcome
Once the purchase is complete, if you're eligible for our Rx Path, a Found-affiliated medical provider will review your information and determine the best weight loss plan for you, including medication. Depending on your plan, your medication(s) will either be sent directly to your door or we will send them to be filled by your local pharmacy.
