  • How is this program different from the regular Rx program?

    The regular Rx program offers medications that do not require a synchronous consult. The Phentermine program utilizes synchronous consults so that we can meet the stringent requirements to be able to prescribe Phentermine - a schedule IV drug.

  • How do I set up my refill?

    Our team will send you a form to complete 20 days after your medication is delivered. Once that form is completed, you will be able to schedule your consultation with your Found medication provider via your member portal.

  • What is a synchronous consult?

    Synchronous consults are video consultations. You'll have the opportunity to meet with your Found provider face-to-face (via Zoom!) to discuss your medical history and medication options.

  • What is an asynchronous consult?

    Asynchronous consults are when members chat with their Found provider via messaging (think chat). This is the typical consult forum for Found.

  • What is a Schedule IV Drug?

    A  Schedule IV Drug is a class of medications that are determined by the FDA. According to the FDA, schedule IV drugs are defined as "drugs with low potential for abuse and low risk of dependence".

  • Why do I need a synchronous consult?

    Found strives to provide an exceptional interaction at each touch point with your provider. When discussing Schedule IV Drugs (phentermine or phentermine combinations), a video consultation with a board-certified provider is required. Prescriptions cannot be written unless this video consultation happens.

  • Why do I need to take my blood pressure prior to each phentermine consult?

    Phentermine is a stimulant and can potentially affect your blood pressure.  Your safety and wellbeing is always our #1 priority. For that reason, we want to ensure your blood pressure is not being significantly affected by your medication which is why your provider will monitor this while you're on this medication.

  • Why do you need my ID number visible on my ID?

    Phentermine is a Schedule IV Drug which requires we meet pharmacy policies that dispense the medication. Our Pharmacy partner, TruePill, meets these Federal requirements by needing a copy of your state or federal picture ID, with the Id number, expiration and issue dates, and your DOB visible.

  • Why do I have to sign for my medications?

    Phentermine is a Schedule IV Drug and as such there are requirements that all pharmacies that dispense it must meet to ensure they are dispensing it appropriately. Shipping the medication with a signature required is another way our Pharmacy partner TruePill meets these Federal requirements.

  • What doses are available?

    Found board-certified providers start members on the lowest dose (15mg) once daily. If the 15 mg dose is not effective after a month, you can discuss options with your Found provider to find the best dosage for your unique biology.

  • I’m going on vacation, how do I make sure I get my refill?

    If you are going to be out of town for longer than 30 days, please contact support@joinfound.com and let them know. They will work with our Clinical Care Team to discuss options as we typically do not prescribe more than a 30 day supply of Phentermine.
